Wildcats Hold Off The Hawks

On February 4th, 2023 the Washington Wildcats faced the Harmon Hawks at 

Washington High School.  Although the Hawks made a few runs the Wildcats ended up pulling away and winning 64-36, which begs the question, how far will the Washington Wildcats go this year?

On Sunday October 2nd, Brazil's presidential election started as Jair Bolsonaro and Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva also known as  “ Lula ” went heads up for the position. Bolsonaro is their current president and lula was president from January 1, 2001 - January, 1 2011. “I will not accept an election result that is not my own victory.” he says.

9/11 Acknowledged by Youth

Air force JROTC performs the 9/11 memorial at Washington High School on  Sep 10, 2021. The cadets wanted to show that the next generation honors the people that lost their life on 9/11. “They stand with pride and remember what happened on 9/11” said Colonel Patrick McCormick of the JROTC.

‘Halloween Ends’ directed by David Gordon Green releases in theaters nationwide on October 14, 2022. The movie was filmed to finish off the series of movies that have been filmed off and on since 1978. “This film will be shocking and make people very angry”, said Jamie Lee Curtis, who has played the character Laurie Strode in all of the Halloween movies. 

An X-travagant Adventure

Celebrity actress Mia Goth who plays Max in the movie “X” will star in the  sequel to this film called ‘Pearl’ coming out in theaters on September 16 2022. This movie was filmed to continue the ‘X’ triology which came out March 2022 and a movie called “MaXXXine”. "Honestly, this whole project has been such a gift." Mia stated.

Victimized Again

On Sunday, September 25th, 2022, Rita Isbell spoke against Netflix’s new documentary, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”, Isbell, the sister of Errol Lindsey who was one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims, spoke on how insensitive it was for them to use their trauma to profit off a story that they weren’t contacted about or didn’t get any benefits. Isbell, expressed her anger about the show bringing up memories and emotions that she was forced to relive again. “I’m still learning how to forgive, even if I don’t understand, and keep on with my life. I can’t change other people or things that have happened. I can only change myself.” Rita said.

Drops of Jupiter

Early morning Monday, September 26th, 2022 NASA announced that Earth is moving closer to Jupiter. Jupiter will be in alignment with Earth and the Sun so it will be visible, but only for a little bit. "Jupiter is so bright and brilliant that a really nice thing about it is even in a city, in the middle of a bright city, you can see it," says a NASA astrophysicist.

The Dolphins Dive Over The Bills

Sunday, September 25th in Miami, Florida the Miami Dolphins beat the Buffalo Bills 19-23. The Dolphins played really well last night and won because of Tuas great arm. “He has weapons, he’s in an offense tailored to his strengths, and he’ll be facing a banged-up Buffalo defense.” says a source.

Frozen in Fear

April 1st 2021, during the Ukraine War,  Russia began drafting young men for the war, throughout all of its cities. Many young men were fearful of joining the war because of allegations that conscripts were being sent to fight immediately. “I don’t trust them when they say they won’t send conscripts into combat. They lie all the time” said Vladislav, a young man trying to complete his studies.
