JROTC: A Pathway to Future Benefits

in JROTC was the best decision I made in high school. I was given the opportunity to
exemplify leadership skills by obtaining the honor of being the wing commander for
the 2018-2019 JROTC year of Washington High School.” Elizabeth said.

Cats Gone Wild!!!

Washington High School football team being interviewed by 41 Action News on Monday september 9th, 2019 as Wildcat players Tywan Muturi and Thomas Anderson receive the Hyvee Player of the Week award. The players were noticed after they put on a show in their first game against Atchison. “Every single position is important from the coach to the team, to the managers. It takes a team to win.” Said Coach Smith the head coach of the Wildcats pictured  on the far right front row.

Washington senior Tywan Muturi holds up the belt he received for defensive player of the game on September 6th, 2019 at Washington High School. Tywan is now leading the state of Kansas in interceptions so far this season in only his second year of high school football. “This season is going to be one to remember” Tywan said.

KSU Advisor Chris Hullaby poses proudly in the College & Career Center at Washington High School on September 16th, 2019.  Mr. Hullaby graduated from Washington High School just six years ago and is elated to help students who walk the same halls as he once did. “My main purpose is to help kids from Wyandotte County go to a four year college.” Mr. Hullaby said.
