Biden Goes to Louisiana

President Joe Biden walked and examined the damage of the streets from a hard hit Louisiana Neighborhood because of Hurricane Ida on Friday. Biden said he will help people get back on their feet with federal assistance.The government already gave 100 million to individuals with a $500 paycheck as the first thing for help. Biden said to the citizens of Louisiana “I know you're hurting, I know you're hurting” .


Wildcats Have Done It Again

On September 11, 2021, Washington High School Junior Varsity Volleyball team competed in the tournament at Topeka Highland Park. There were 7 teams that came to the competition and they competed against 3 teams. They conquered several different circumstances to finish third. “I’m so proud of my team and I feel so great,” said Hning Thang, a player from the Junior Varsity team.

Return of the Legacies

Season 4 of Legacies dropped on Thursday, October 14, 2021 on the CW network. They didn't get to finish the 3rd season due to COVID midigations, so they chose to go right into the 4th season. It will be available on Netflix and the CW. ”The conclusion of the third season has set up many of the major plot points for Season 4. Before Season 4 starts, unconfirmed rumors are floating around that Season 3 will pick up again to release a few more episodes.” - The Teal Mango.

On 9/3/21 Drake dropped his new album called ‘Certified Lover Boy’ which landed at the top spot on Apple Music's top albums chart in 145 countries in its first day of release. It was originally supposed to drop in January of 2021, but due to Drake having knee surgery it was delayed . ”A goal is just a dream with a deadline.”-Drake

China’s Rejection of Shang Chi

Shang-Chi doesn't have a release date in China, why that's a big deal

As of September 3rd, 2021 The Chinese Government still won’t show the Marvel Cinematic Movie “Shang Chi”, in China. They haven’t announced the release date, but China won’t air the film due to it having insensitive racial undertones. “The comics — which were written by white creators — focused on the racist idea of "yellow peril,". The Washington Post explains.
