Xbox Consoles Review

By: Elijah Ricketts

Xbox

Did you know that on November 10, 2020, Microsoft came out with not 1, but 2 new Xbox consoles. This was on the same day as the release of the PS5. Click ‘Read More’ to find out how Xbox stacks up against the competition.

Microsoft released 2 consoles known as the Xbox series X/S. The Xbox Series S is the white console on the left, it's smaller than the Xbox series X, but has some advantages. For instance, the console holds 512 gb and can download games and add-ons much faster than the Xbox one. The console is all digital, no disc tray. However, this means you won't have to worry about buying game discs and having them get scratched up because you’ll already have the digital and downloadable version. Plus, if you have an Xbox one controller, you can connect it to the S.

Now the best part, the price. This is by far one of the cheapest gaming consoles, especially compared to the PS5, this beauty cost $299.99. Meanwhile, the PS5 cost $409.99, and would you want to pay for that ?  I personally wouldn’t buy that. The other xbox cost a lot more, exactly $499.99. But, it's more than worth the pay. Speaking of which, let's talk about the 2nd Console, the Xbox Series X.

The Xbox Series X is the console on the right. It's bigger than the S and thicker too. However, there are some pros to its cons. For example it has more space, 1 TB, which is 1,000 gb. The Frame rate is 120 FPS, better and brighter graphics, and faster loading and has a disc tray if you prefer that. Also, here’s something the Xbox Series X/S both have, unlike PS5, the quick resume feature. Quick resume allows you to resume the progress you had in the game like, right where you left off, say in the middle of a boss fight. Even if your console is turned off for days, you will still be able to go back to that same spot.

I personally love the Xbox Series S but, I can’t speak for everyone. Let me know your opinion in the comments below.
