Wrestling Season Is Upon Us

On Friday, November 8th the Washington Wrestling Team had its pre season meeting. This meeting was in the library at 2:30 after school. Although the first meet is coming up soon, you still have time to join. Click ‘Read More; to find out how.

You will need to meet the head coach Aaron McGhee and the assistant coach Isaiah Vigil as well as the current members of the team. They will talk to students about what they expect the 2019 - 20 season to look like. You will receive the schedule for practice days and tournament/meet days with times. 

Wrestling helps build camaraderie. “Throughout the season you really do get close with everybody on the team, it’s really like a brotherhood.” said Jordan Thompson the current wrestling captain. 

Sometimes you have some aggression but instead of taking it out on someone in a harmful way, take it out on the mat with someone a better way. If you are strong and skilled, give wrestling a chance. It wouldn’t hurt to at least check it out.
